How I lost 5 Stone
The main reason behind me losing that amount of weight was because of me being teased and bullied at school about my weight and I wanted to do something about it as I was already a sporty kind of person when I was younger but due to family problems i.e. my parents nearly getting divorced at the age of 12, this had a profound effect on me in terms of the way I started to feel about myself and slowly but surely I started to put on weight as I saw comfort in eating junk food and other foods that generally were not good for me.
But as I grew older and wiser with myself and my body, I started to realise that I couldn’t continue with doing this to myself for much longer, so literally the day after I left school, I joined a gym at the age of 16 and decided to lose all of the weight that I had gained previously in which I did in about 6-9 months when I was at college and along the way, I started to get more confident physically but for me more importantly mentally I was a different person as ultimately it is our minds that determine our success not our bodies.
So my workout regime consisted of walking to my college and back home again which was a half an hour walk there and back three times a week, I then went to the gym to do Weight Training to improve my physique and wellbeing furtherÂ of which I also did this three times a week and this is where I saw a dramatic improvement in my physical confidence especially.
This is where my passion for helping others in my situation really started to take shape so in August 2011, I decided to train to become a Personal Trainer as I knew that this would be my perfect job doing something that I love doing and also helping others achieve and exceed their goals which is one of the best feelings in the world especially when you know that it is your guidance and advice that has helped them get to where they want to be in life.
