Why You Should Get Rid Of The Scales

One of the reasons why I say to my clients to get rid of the scales is mainly for two reasons.

  1. The first reason is that scales only tell you a number of what you weigh which doesn’t give you an accurate of definitive figure of who you are. For example, you could have two people who weigh 75kg but one is fat and the other is toned and fit, which tells me that it isn’t an accurate representation of where you are trying to get to.
  2. The second reason is that there are much more better ways to track your progress without using scales.

These are measuring yourself using a tape measure of which you would measure your chest, hips, thigh and waist. I would also recommend doing before, during and after pictures of yourself which will help you visually understand what areas of your body that you need to improve on and help to track it more effectively.

If you want to carry on using scales then that’s fine but at least give the other methods that I have listed above first and see how you get on.
